Independence
Rate & Roof is not affiliated with any government agency, laboratory, utility, retail electricity provider or solar company. Names of agencies and companies are used to cite sources and describe products, and belong to their owners.
Links, ads and paid products
Some links go to other sites that this site does not control. It may show display advertising and sells a plan comparison workbook. Paid products are for your own use and may not be resold. Purchases are handled by the payment processor named at checkout, and its terms apply to the payment.
Reuse
You may quote short passages with a link back to the page. The underlying public data belongs to its publishers and is used under their terms, printed on the disclosures page. Do not copy whole pages or republish the site's tools without asking first through the contact page. Do not scrape the site in a way that slows it for others.

Changes and law
The terms may change; the date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and the United States.
