Data credit and notice
Solar production is modeled with the PVWatts Calculator and NSRDB weather data from the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR), operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by the Alliance for Energy Innovation, LLC (Alliance). What the box says
- Shows the modeled yearly kWh per kW and a month-by-month bar for the city you pick.
- Says it is a modeled estimate, not advice.
- Links to the city's page here with utm_source=embed, utm_medium=widget and the city as the campaign.
- Carries the PVWatts credit and data notice in a collapsed section.
Terms
Credit stays attached.
The box is free to use on any page. Leave the credit, the data notice and the link to Rate & Roof in place: the PVWatts data behind it comes with a requirement that its notice travel with every copy of the data, and the snippet carries it inside a collapsed section.
The snippet is plain HTML with inline styles. It loads nothing from this site, runs no script and sets no cookie on your page. The link back carries utm tags so a visit can be told apart from other traffic. Do not use the Department of Energy, NLR or Alliance names to promote anything.

One list, for Texas solar buyback plans. We write when a tracked rate changes and when new city data is published. Nothing else, and nothing until you confirm.
